        addComponent is not supportet by the current jira api.

        this issue is unresolved since 2005. There exists a third party library to add this feature, but this library has to be added to every jira installation. In our mind, this solution looks really dirty.

        the alternative is always to throw a domain method not supported exception. This is what I would vote for now

        I think that's OK for now.
        We should consider an alternativ non-default JIRA-connector in the future using http://code.google.com/p/shared-space/wiki/JiraExtendedWebservice

        OK, do we have to handle this method in any special case (NotSupportedException) or can we simply document this behavior and ignore it?
